Your Chapter 262 leadership needs a Chapter member who works part-time to represent CSEA 262 on the Classified Professional Development Committee (CPDC). We are looking for someone to represent part-time classified professionals in Chapter 262 who understands the needs and issues relating to professional development training unique to a part-time employee.
To serve as a representative on the CPDC, you must be a Chapter 262 member, you must work part-time (any schedule less than 40 hours per week), and you must be willing to represent CSEA Chapter 262 and the interests of unit members. The purpose of CPDC is:
To provide guidance to the College through recommendations made to PDC regarding professional development goals and objectives for classified employees.
To establish and maintain channels of communication amongst all campus programs in the development of appropriate classified professional development activities.
To certify job-related ongoing on-campus professional development activities for the Professional Growth Benefit.
To plan Classified Professional Development Day activities in collaboration with the College.
To certify qualifications of Classified presenters who are released to provide professional development workshops or trainings.
To assess Classified professional development needs and advise Professional & Organizational Development, Classified Senate, CSEA 262, and CSEA 651 on matters relating to the professional development of Classified employees.

During the telecommute period, if you are working on an assignment your manager has given you, your participation on the CPDC will be “release time” on your time sheet. If you are not working on an assignment, your participation is just “paid status” on the timesheet.
